Thanks to our many generous donors, on February 8, 2021 we were able to provide blankets and mats to 120 families displaced by the most recent wave of violence in the greater El Geneina area. This is our third distribution of aid in El Geneina and we could not have done it without your support! And special thanks to Mohamed Abdulrahman, our Treasurer, for working in El Geneina for months, consulting with the displaced communities directly, to make sure this aid distribution did what it had to do.  Click on the DONATE link at the top of the page to give to us.

The International Organization for Migration reports 108,800 displaced in El Geneina and surrounding areas, with 63,500 being in the city itself (1).  The sit-in that had been blocking main roads into the city was lifted on February 7, but the needs of the displaced are still very great (2).
